As a Senior Vice President & Partner at VOX, Alex Co-Chairs the VOX Sustainability and Technology Practices helping to oversee and execute Corporate Sustainability and tech focused initiatives on behalf of VOX Clients including AT&T, Bank of America and EY
Before joining VOX, Hahn spent four years at Sprint Nextel where he led all of the company’s CSR and sustainability communications efforts including the award winning national product launch of Sprint’s first eco-friendly wireless device. At Sprint Alex also launched the company’s @SprintGreenNews CSR focused twitter feed and managed all external communications and media relations for Sprint’s corporate and consumer focused sustainability initiatives.
Prior to Sprint, Alex worked in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins where he was hired by the team owner to build a community relations program from the ground up for the team including the establishment of team’s 501c3 non-profit foundation, The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation. As Director of Charitable Foundation and Community Affairs, Alex oversaw the creation of the team’s signature community programs, which are still active today, and managed relationships with team sponsors, media and government officials.
Alex started his career in Boston with Arnold Public Relations, working with companies including McDonald’s and Volkswagen of North America. For McDonald’s he managed media relations, crisis communications, new product launches and served as the Foundation Manager for two local Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters in New England. As Foundation Manager his responsibilities included community outreach, corporate grant making and media relations.
A graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine Alex currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia with his wife and two young daughters and is active in the DC community serving on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Fairfax County. In his spare time, Alex is a self-professed weather geek and avid Washington Redskins fan.
