David Payne helps some of the world’s best-known organizations advance their interests online and win critical communications campaigns. He is a communications technology leader and inventor.
David leads the digital practice at VOX Global—creating interactive solutions for clients from Fortune 100 enterprises to international non-profits. He created four powerful VOX products for online outreach: Activism Central (an easy-to-use, micro-site building system), Gridfluence (a solution for visualizing spheres of influence), Geowareness (a public affairs mapping system) and OnTarget (a targeted delivery system for ads and website content).
Prior to VOX Global, David managed his own digital consultancy and amassed business and technology expertise in results-focused corporate environments. David holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Concordia College and a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from The George Washington University where he graduated summa cum laude.
David works in the VOX Washington D.C. headquarters and is an adjunct professor at The George Washington University (GSPM), teaching on digital advocacy topics. His core expertise includes complex online campaigns, micro-targeting, advertising, big data, results-oriented social media and grassroots mobilizations.
