Joy helps clients communicate their messages through a variety of media platforms by designing creative campaigns and programs. With more than 10 years of experience in digital and new media communication, crisis communication, community relations and messaging, Joy brings expertise and passion to every client she serves, from Fortune 10 companies to local nonprofits.
As a Vice President at VOX and head of the firm’s social media practice group, Joy works on the Corporate Sustainability practice group, finding unique and creative ways to design and communicate sustainability initiatives. With the Social Media practice group she advises clients on topics from building a following on social channels, creating a personal online brand and incorporating social aspects to crisis communications.
Prior to joining the VOX team, Joy worked with Racepoint Group in San Francisco, a global social media firm, advising clients including Sony Electronics and eHarmony on their traditional media and digital relations efforts. Additionally, Joy was a key member of the online services team at Fenton, advising clients on using the Internet and new media tools to better reach their target audiences.
Joy began her career in the political world, gaining valuable experience with the Democratic Governors’ Association and with the campaigns of Bob Menendez for U.S. Senate and John Kerry for President.
Joy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University in Political Science and French.
After living in New York, Paris, DC and San Francisco, Joy is happy to be settled back in her home state of Maine (although she pines for California from January through April) with her fiancé Ben and her dog Ketchup.
