Managing Supervisor

Washington, DC

Sam works with a variety of clients to execute communications campaigns and manage stakeholder engagement in an effort to impact public policy and corporate reputation. Sam supports these clients by managing projects within the broader campaigns, planning events, performing media outreach and analysis and providing background research.

Biography

Sam got his feet wet in politics as a Deputy Regional Field Director for the Maine Democratic Party’s 2008 coordinated campaign.  He was charged with developing and managing an extensive network of volunteers and organizations to build grassroots support for Democratic candidates.  His first foray into client consulting was through an internship with Dutko Worldwide in Washington, D.C.

At VOX, Sam works with clients to strengthen stakeholder relations by helping coordinate participation in major conferences and planning events that provide stakeholders with opportunities to develop new skills that benefit their organizations.  For example, he has helped conceptualize and execute a series of training programs hosted by AT&T on topics ranging from social media best practices to Hispanic media relations.  Sam has worked on communications campaigns to impact financial services legislation, promote responsible bottle bills and manage the reputations of VOX’s clients.

Sam has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College in Economics and International Studies.

Sam enjoys spending his free time outdoors, skiing, sailing and cycling.  He also plays left field on the VOX softball team, which is going through a “rebuilding” year, but shows great potential.
