She is experienced in providing strategic counsel for clients navigating congressional hearings, regulatory scrutiny and earned media attention. She approaches her work with creativity, determination and innovative problem-solving skills.
Prior to joining VOX, Emma was a media relations specialist at the Federal Aviation Administration, where she played a critical role in the agency’s crisis communications strategy pertaining to continued aviation safety. She also led nationwide public awareness campaigns about air traffic control, aerial wildfire fighting, and unruly passengers, collaborating closely with the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization and General Counsel. She has extensive background in placing national and local earned media pieces and engaging in rapid response protocol to reporter inquiries.
Emma earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. RCJH!
Hailing from Minnesota, Emma can always appreciate a Prince song and warmer weather. Now residing in Washington D.C., she enjoys walking her dog around the monuments and visiting her favorite Smithsonian museums.
