Climate Week NYC 2026: Showing Up Is Not a Strategy
Next month, more than 100,000 people are expected to participate in over 1,000 events across New York City for Climate Week NYC 2026.
Held alongside the United Nations General Assembly – with much of the activity concentrated in and around Midtown – the week brings together global political and businesses leaders, investors, nonprofits, advocates and the media.
For organizations working across energy, sustainability, finance and international affairs, the opportunity is enormous. So is the competition for attention.
A Different Climate Conversation
Climate Week has always brought together widely differing perspectives – from advocates seeking a rapid transition away from fossil fuels to traditional energy companies making the case for their role in a reliable and secure energy system.
In 2026, those debates will be especially consequential. The Trump administration has fundamentally altered the direction of federal energy and climate policy, while many corporations have become more cautious about how they publicly discuss climate and ESG priorities.
Even so, Climate Week 2025 drew record participation, demonstrating that companies, investors and other institutions remain deeply engaged, even if their language is increasingly centered on investment, innovation, competitiveness and measurable results.
Meanwhile, affordability and reliability have become impossible to separate from the climate discussion. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, average residential electricity prices during the first five months of 2026 were approximately 38 percent higher than the 2020 average.
That reality is driving a broader conversation about what an “all-of-the-above” energy strategy should actually include. Climate Week will take place just weeks before the midterm elections, with control of Congress at stake and policymakers in both parties increasingly focused on the energy needed to lower costs, strengthen reliability, support advanced manufacturing and meet surging electricity demand.
Organizations entering that environment need more than a climate message. They need a position that connects their priorities to the economic, political and geopolitical questions shaping the moment.
Turning a Crowded Week into a Strategic Opportunity
For the past decade, VOX Global has supported clients on the ground at Climate Week ranging from financial services and ESG leaders to renewable, nuclear and traditional energy companies, as well as organizations focused on international affairs.
Our work begins by answering a fundamental question: What should Climate Week accomplish for your organization?
From there, VOX develops and executes a strategy designed around clear outcomes. That can include:
- Elevating executives through high-profile panels, roundtables and speaking opportunities;
- Planning and managing events and private meetings with U.S., European and other international leaders;
- Connecting clients with policymakers, investors, partners and influential stakeholders;
- Preparing leaders and managing engagement with reporters covering the week;
- Developing messages and content that break through a crowded conversation; and
- Coordinating the countless logistical and strategic details required to make a Climate Week presence successful.
VOX brings deep experience across energy policy, strategic communications, executive visibility, media relations and sustainability strategy. Our bipartisan team works with traditional and clean energy organizations alike, helping them navigate political complexity, strengthen their reputations and communicate persuasively with the audiences that matter most.
Make the Week Matter Beyond New York
The strongest Climate Week programs do not begin when an executive arrives in Manhattan or end when the final event concludes.
A well-designed engagement can launch a longer-term thought-leadership platform, deepen relationships with decision-makers, generate valuable media opportunities and create content that carries an organization’s message forward for months.
The VOX Energy team will again be on the ground throughout Climate Week NYC 2026, helping clients manage high-level engagements and make the most of one of the year’s most important energy, climate and geopolitical gatherings.
