Carter works with organizations to build relationships with their targeted audiences and creates content that will make those audiences pay attention and “stop their scroll.” He teams up with VOX’s creative & marketing experts and media relations specialists to develop holistic recommendations that meet campaign goals. Carter also works extensively with organizations to build product responsibility and corporate reputation programs.

Raised in rural Iowa, Carter is VOX’s Iowa trivia expert. He is a member of the diversity and inclusion, and social media practice groups. He founded the VOX Dallas Food Tour – a yearly culture outing where a selection of local restaurants are judged and one is crowned winner. Outside of work, Carter co-chairs Iowa State’s young alumni board and is a member of the Dallas PRSA and Dallas Regional Chamber Young Professionals.

Prior to joining VOX Global, Carter interned with Fleishman-Hillard Kansas City, the Iowa 4-H Foundation and Iowa State Athletics’ marketing department. During these internships he gained experience in influencer engagement, donor relations and social media strategy, respectfully.

He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in journalism and mass communication, while also majoring in political science, from Iowa State University. While in college, Carter founded a student-run bacon festival, raised $10,000 for a scholarship, blogged for university admissions and was an Eychaner Foundation Iowa Matthew Shepard Scholar. He studied abroad in Scotland where he worked with the Scottish Parliament’s Minister of Public Health.

As a four-time Iowa State Fair award-winning baker, Carter enjoys whipping up new treats in his free time. He is a devoted Broadway fanatic and enjoys having his blood pressure raised to dangerous levels by his favorite team, the Iowa State Cyclones.
