James's career as a public affairs executive, political campaign manager and congressional staffer has focused on helping organizations and individual leaders enhance reputations and build advocacy campaigns on behalf of brands and executives.
As a partner at VOX, James co-leads the Tech Practice Group and Behavioral Insights Practice. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Management Committee and manages the Texas operations for D.C.-based firm.
He applies analytics and behavioral science to deliver actionable, meaningful and persuasive content and strategy. Through data-driven consumer insights and lessons from behavioral science, his campaigns move audiences from awareness to action.
He leads a team that helps organizations build their reputations through CSR initiatives, protect their reputations during a crisis and tell their story across digital, social and traditional media channels. He provides executive support to CEOs and other members of the C-Suite, supports M&A communications, manages crisis situations and develops digital advocacy programs. He conducts trainings related to message development, media relations, crisis communications and storytelling.
James has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University – College Station where he currently serves on the Department of Communication’s Alumni Advisory Board.
