Michael is an Account Supervisor with VOX’s Indianapolis office, where he works with several of VOX’s nonprofit and foundation clients to develop and execute mission-driven communications campaigns.
As a member of VOX’s education and non-profit practice group, he leverages behavioral science and data analytics to advance social causes and improve tangible outcomes in education, sustainability and public health. With expertise in media relations and digital communication, he also supports corporate clients’ social responsibility and employee engagement efforts. In 2017, Michael received a Pinnacle “Best in Show” award from the PRSA Hoosier Chapter for excellence in digital communications.
Prior to joining VOX, Terlep served as an editorial intern at The Borgen Project, a nonprofit advocacy organization fighting global poverty. In 2014, he lobbied at the Indiana Statehouse to support a successful effort to oppose HJR3, a proposed constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. He also interned at Swanson, Martin & Bell, a mid-size law firm in Chicago. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from DePauw University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude.
As a Chicagoland native and diehard Cubs fan, Michael loves nothing more than cheering on the Northsiders from inside the Friendly Confines.
