With more than nine years of experience working on Capitol Hill and political campaigns across the country, Tim has an extensive background in political organizing, legislative affairs, and media relations. At VOX Global, he helps clients develop strategic campaign plans to shape public opinion and influence policy on critical issues before Congress and state legislatures.
Before joining VOX Global, Tim Brown served on Capitol Hill in roles ranging from Legislative Assistant to the Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus to Communications Director for a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee. As a Legislative Assistant, he covered a range of issues for Congressman John Larson including education, labor, judiciary, civil rights, law enforcement, and immigration. He was also the lead staff member for the Task Force on Election Reform charged with developing key legislation on campaign finance reform and voting rights from 2012-2014.
In his role as Communications Director for Congressman Joe Courtney, Tim was the primary on-the-record spokesperson, handling all media relations for the office. He was responsible for developing strategic communications plans to highlight Courtney’s accomplishments as Ranking Member of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee and as a senior member of the House Committee on Education and Labor.
In addition to his time on Capitol Hill, Tim has worked on several political campaigns in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Arizona serving in roles from Field Director to Campaign Manager. Tim is a native of Scottsdale, Arizona and a graduate of Arizona State University. He lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and their daughter.
