Building Sustainable Stakeholder Relationships

Stakeholder engagement is an important tool for advancing business, brand and public policy goals. Major corporations will invariably interact with third parties over a host of potentially volatile issues such as human and civil rights, labor, environmental, consumer and diversity & inclusion concerns. Companies are wise to cultivate relationships with individuals and organizations that could impact their brand, profits and/or share price before issues arise. Engaging stakeholders must convey, at a granular level, how the effort will impact these audiences individually. Otherwise, the outreach may not resonate or, even worse, backfire. Appropriate messaging should be crafted by incorporating the input from those who understand the targeted audiences best. Cultural awareness and appreciation are prerequisites.

VOX Global explores and presents the best opportunities for organizations to develop authentic, sustainable relationships with influential third-party organizations. We identify stakeholders and facilitate dialogue so that they have clear insight into how these groups’ missions align with client initiatives.

We are joining the Public Affairs Council for a discussion to share our expertise on Thursday, June 16.  We will be joined by Hilary Shelton, Washington Bureau Director and Senior Vice President for Advocacy with the NAACP, to talk about how organizations can build a successful engagement plan.

We will share:

  • Which components are essential for a successful plan
  • Setting internal and external goals and expectations
  • Cultivating an environment of trust-based, transparent stakeholder relationships
  • Developing a map to prioritize stakeholders and identify issues
  • Strategies to determine the who, what, when, where and why behind true engagement

Interested participants can register for the event here.
